It seems for now we figured it out..I had the ac that wouldn't shut off...outside wouldn't turn on..replaced board...like I posted I broke the cap off the housing of my roll out limit switch while unplugging a wire..I took both halves and put them together while sitting at my desk waiting to call and order a new one. After putting them together I put a flame to the bottom...the button popped up...I let it cool and did it again...same result...I went to my unit and put the wires back on...just like that everything started working correctly!!! Yes, I'm still buying a new one today and not sure of the cause of it tripping to begin with. I know the flame from pilot lite is roughly 4 inches under it, but has always been located there. If it trips again I will probably repost and beg for help, but meantime I wanted to express my gratitude to Skip, Hvac and everyone who gave input in helping me!! thank you so much!!
