The current situation:
About 2 months ago I replaced the contactor, caps, and motor in an outdoor unit by YORK.
Worked great for a while...got back from out of town yesterday, and my house sitter had dropped the tstat from 76 to 74, so I set it back to 76 like I like it.
Couple hours later it seemed really warm in the house, so I go outside and take a look, and the outdoor unit is buzzing, but the fan is not turning.
I unplug the power to the unit at the shutoff, and turn the tstat to "off". Wait 15-20 minutes and plug everything back in and turn it back "on". The outdoor unit kicks on for abit, but shuts off within one minute.
I figure its not the start cap since it is starting, and its obviously getting power, just not sure where I should start looking around to get this fixed.
Thanks
E

When the fan stops does the comp stop?
Take an amp draw on fan to see what its pulling compared to nameplate FLA
IS the fan hot to the touch?
Was the motor an exact replacement?
