I'm converting a 1930's single skiin brick garage into study/studio. Patched up brickwork, insulated and dry-lined iinterior walls, new windows and door, but need advice on what to do with old and somewhat cracked concrete floor. I'm concerned about damp seeping in, but don't want expense of ptting in membrane, the, battoning and laying wooden floor. Is there a way to seal it with a rubber (?) sollution which will create a damp-proof barrier and adequate flooring?

Gutters/downspouts that work and sloping landscaping will take care of most problems. But if you don't want to do the things you mentioned, get waterproof shoes, raise the furniture.

Hi np,
waterproofing is a difficult term to apply to a foundation placed on the ground. I have 2 links that may give you some direction with your project. Good luck.
