How do you get sides of houses that are 35 feet high and only 6-8 feet from the house next door?

Exactly what needs painting? Sometimes you can use a brush holder and roller pole to get an extra reach. I have laid on the roof and reached over to paint fascia board before:eek:... and there are times where you just don't have much choice but to go up a steeply set ladder, at these times it's best to have a helper to help keep the ladder stable.
Or you could set up scaffolding.
