Hello all,
I have a Goodman CK24-1B AC unit that still seems to be giving me trouble. I just had my contactor replaced and it seemed to be running fine for the repairman 2 days ago. And now 2 days later, I turn it on and the fan kicks on and a couple seconds later the compressor tries to kick on but quickly cuts off. Do I still have a bad contactor? Is freon too low? Or is the compressor bad? If it's a bad compessor, how expensive is it to replace?

I have a possible reason why my ac isnt functioning properly. I noticed the repairman replaced the old burned out single pole contactor with a 2 pole contactor. Whould that cause the the compressor to malfunction and activate correctly?

Could be many things, call the service mng of the company and have them come back out.

Might need a hard staart capacitor to give the compressor an additional boost.
