8 Years Old this coming Sep. Only used the past 5 seasons.
When turned on, all the function lights work from the remote.
You can hear it attempt to click on, but it only hums. The fan doesn't work either, even when clicked to "fan only".
I read where someone said that the majority of the time it was the capacitor, but would a defective capacitor allow what I said above?
The manual doesn't explain how to get to the "innards" of the unit. Who can tell me?
Also, are there any other possibilities that you can think of?

You will need to remove it from the wall sleeve to work on it.
