Hi,
I'm a newbie to the forum and to the Hayward Heater. I am just now hooking up a heater that was given to me and can't get the Union nuts started on the header. I took them off to install new O rings in the heater.
This is the first time I have encountered a problem of this sort.

Problem solved.
Wrap a layer of teflon tape around the header threads. Nut slips on like hot butter.
