My two-year old Hunter irrigation system was set to run this past Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It rained about 2" this past Sunday and my irrigation system did not run on Monday and Wednesday but it did today (Friday). Is there something wrong with my rain sensor or is that normal due to all the rain on Sunday?
I have a Hunter Mini-Clik rain sensor.

your rain sensor is probably mounted in a good spot for the rain, but not in a good spot for you to take a good look at. There is a small dial on the top that has an open/close setting for drying time.
When it rains a cork inside the rain sensor swells and stops the system from running. Eventually the cork dries out and the system resumes. By changing the dial on the top allows more or less air flow which will make it dry faster, or slower.
Move the dial to allow more air flow and dry the cork faster.
If you have the older version of the mini-click then you will have to set the rain sensor to a higher rain tolerance, say, 1/2" or so. This would also be on the top of the rain sensor but without seeing it I cannot tell you which version you have.
If you do not know which or need a manual, head over to Hunter's website at:
