i don't understand what's going on.. the ac is working because through the vents is flowing cold air but the temperature is not going under 81 degrees, someone checked my unit and said that everything looks good told me to change the thermostate which i did, but the problem remains.. thru the unit's fan is blowing hot air. I don't understand.... please help.

What temp reading are you getting out of the vent?
but the temperature is not going under 81 degrees,
Did you start the system on a hot house? Or was the A/C on for a few days, and falls behind?

Who's someone? I'm shock to hear if a tech told you this.
How old is the system?
