My husband asked me to replace the filter on our AC unit while he was away. I did it with what I thought was no problems until 5 hours later the house started heating up. I figured that out...door not on all the way - blower wasn't turning on. Of course it froze the unit up. I turned it off for an hour, turned it back on with the door properly closed and everything was good. I got home from work this evening and found my hall way soaked - like slashy puddles.
What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?
We got the outside unit last summer and had maintenence done on the inside at the same time.

Do you know if the coil froze up again on you?
Do you know what is used for drain line from the coil? (Flex or PVC?)

More then likely its water from the coil thawing and overflowing the drain. I would check to make sure your condensate drain is not clogged.
