:wall:recently my trouble lite was on, i assume it was trying to tell me the auxillary battery was about to expire.the battery is 7 year old. During a recent storm the power went out , when power came back it tripped off the alarm system. Both keypads are now useless no lites come on and do not work. The only way to shut off the siren is to diconnect the power! I replaced the aux battery because the old one was dead, keypads still do not lite up and are useless. Plugged it back in, siren still sounds keypads still not functioning. Only way to shut off siren is to diconnect the power! I was told that it was shut out. How do i fix the problem?! Please help!

I suspect that you lost your power supply transformer (the one plugged into a nearby wall outlet) this last time. You should have 16vac at the first two terminals at the motherboard. If not, time for a new transformer.

checked the transformer still working what's my next step?I was told that the dsc systems are very sensitive to power surges is it possable the keypads were fried considering the batterie was dead at the time of a power surge? I have two key pads what are the odds of both being fried?

My best guess is that you lost your motherboard, this time. The transformer was something of a long-shot check.
The stuck on siren is something of a classic DSC failure mode.
