I'm going to put cameras outside my patio walkout, front driveway and front entry door. What is a good camera to buy for the outside that wouldn't burn a hole in my wallet. I don't want the cheapest but a good one so I wouldn't have to replace in a year.
Thanks!

Check out the Honeywell Performance series. The HB73 is a nice bullet and the HD71 is a nice dome. Samsung makes some good cams as well.

I like bullet cameras that have Sony chip sets, especially the ones with ExView and Super HAD. They work very well in low light conditions.
The only problem I have had with the small "bullet" or "lipstick" cameras is that they are very small. Good if you do not want them to be seen but because they are hard to see they have minimal deterance. I have installed some more bulky, larger cameras (much to the displeasure of my wife) in the more visible areas just so people know you are not bluffing with the surveillance camera signs.

I like the domes because they are usually tamperproof. I have video of a client's cameras being whacked by a hammer and no damage resulted. Try that with a bullet, it will alteast be knocked out of position.
