I need to refinish an old dinner bell & have wire brushed bell to where its ready to prime & paint.This bell is made from crystal metal what ever that is.Can i paint this bell brass with frame painted black or would it be best to paint all black.Any other colors suggested would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Most all #2 and #3 bells you see on farms are all painted black. I question the ability of the "brass" paint to hold up in the weather as much as the black paint would. And it would be easier to touch up if needed. And please......ring it gently. It can break, although highly unlikely. I know you spent a little money on it, so that was free advice. No change required.
