I've got a Jandy Aqualink RS control center with an RS8 chip. Lately the pumps have been getting "jolted" and this seems to originate at the Jancy Control Center.
If you place your hand on the control center box as well as the saltwater chlorinator control box (which is electrically connected to the Jandy Control Center) you can physically feel the jolting. It is rather violent and loud and interrupts the operation of my Whisperflo pumps for a split second. I'm afraid that this will damage my pumps.
The relays have been replaced to no avail. Does this sound like a PCB board replacement or something else?
Additional Info: This seems to happen most in the afternoon when it is the hottest. This rarely occurs in the evening and after dark. It is also a bit random in nature, sometimes it will jolt several times in a 5 minute period and sometimes it won't jolt at all for an hour or more.
Any ideas? Let me know if more information is required. Sorry, but jolting and surging are the only words I can find to describe this behavior.

Took a chance and ordered a new PCB board for the outdoor control panel. Just removed my old RS8 chip and put it in the new board and voila, no more surging, problem solved.Beer 4U2
