Marine: Boating, Sailing, PWC, GPS and Navigation - where's my 50A main fuse

I have A 1989 Sea Sprite 1900 and am looking for the 50A fuse that supplies the fuse block. I was thinking it would be up under the dash but after tracing the wire I had no luck. I did not know if it would be an inline fuse.

What's the engine?

Mercruiser I/Os have a main circuit breaker near the connector that connects the harness to the engine. The harness contains a heavy wire that runs to the helm and connects to the ignition switch. From there, most power to the accessories are individually fused from the ignition switch connection.

I had the boat out for about 4hrs on the river with no problems. When we were trailoring the boat we hit some mud in a shallow area and the engine cutoff. Went to restart and the nothing happened. I tried the blower and pump and neither one worked. I checked the battery connections thinking they may be loose but they seem to be fine. I tried the trim which did work and is on a seperate 50A fuse.

I found the fuse. It was on toward the back of the motor on top.

Glad you got it fixed. Was it a fuse or the red button circuit breaker?

It was the glass fuse. It had the 50A fuse for the trim right beside it. If I would have known that I would have just swapped them out in the water and not had to paddle the 20ft to the trailor.
