Hello,
My family bought a house with a DSC PC1555MX alarm installed (6 hardwired zones, 1 led keypad). Thanks to this forum I was able to make it work again. :)
The only strange problem I'm experiencing is that after changing Section [015]:[2] to ON, zone 6 (Panic Button - 16) turned on constantly. Now I can't arm the system. The only way to be able to do it again it was turning zone 6 to a null zone. Rebooting the system makes the light turn off, but if the button is pressed, it remains on forever.
Is there anything I can try to fix it?
Best Regards
Pedro

If you defaulted the panel, did you reset the zone types to match the actual zones?

I haven't defaulted the panel, just reconfigured after obtaining the installers password.
[001] is configured 01 03 01 03 03 16 11 00, but because of this problem now is 01 03 01 03 03 00 11 00.
Thanks
Pedro

"Panic Keys Audible" setting only has bearing on how the _keypad_ panic button works. The zone type of the zone 6 device determines how it behaves. The two settings are not connected.
From the PC1555 installer manual (bold mine):
[11] 24 Hour Burglary Zone
If this zone is violated when the system is either armed or disarmed, the panel will immediately latch the alarm output and communicate to the central station. The alarm will sound until the Bell Cutoff time expires (Section [005] “System Times”), or until a code is entered. (See 5.13 “Bell” on page 23.)
[12] - [20]
The following zone definitions operate similar to the 24 Hour
Burglary except for the System Event output type and the SIA
identifier:
[12] 24 Hour Holdup Zone - This zone gives a silent alarm by
default.
[13] 24 Hour Gas Zone
[14] 24 Hour Heating Zone (N/C zone)
[15] 24 Hour Medical Zone
[16] 24 Hour Panic Zone
[17] 24 Hour Non-Medical Emergency Zone
[18] 24 Hour Sprinkler Zone
[19] 24 Hour Water Flow Zone
[20] 24 Hour Freezer Zone
It is possible that you need to check your hardwired panic button and/or it's wiring. In any case, the zone stays tripped because it's _supposed_ to until you enter your code as if disarming the system.
