OK, first post. I'll try to be concise.
We have a ~2 yr-old Ruud Ultra gas furnace with AC & a Ruud touchscreen modulating t'stat, TST401MDMS. The blower no longer transitions into the 2nd & 3rd speeds at ~5 min intervals like it used to.
I ran through the config menu to confirm that the correct settings including the Fast Second Stage were enabled and pulled the t'stat head to check for loose connections. Interestingly, I found that the t'stat display back-lighting settings (menu 11 & 12) were enabled. These have never functioned as set.
I will be contacting the vendor but would appreciate any insights on the problem.
