I'm building a 8' x 15' workshop. the roof is 8/12. would two 2x10s glued and screwed work as ridge beam? what would you suggest for rafter size? i was thinking 2x6 24oc. also each 8' end wall has a 4' window on center. i'm planning to bring a 4x4 support post from beam to a 2x10 header supported by 4x4 trimmers. any suggestion?
I live in coastal northern California

You really need to get the building codes for you area. Apparently, you are building it without a permit which could give you problems if you decide to sell the house someday.

Yes, your ridge beam will work just fine. You have a very strong structure planned. You should check with your local zoning or codes, but they should not have problem with them. Good Luck
