I had placed shelving liner under a cotton/laminated tablecloth so it wouldn't slide. I thought I was so smart until I removed the tablecloth and discovered that the liner had somehow melted onto our dining room table. So now we have a bunch of little bumps all over the table. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove these little "goosebumps." Any ideas would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the top will probably have to be stripped. In the future I would suggest trivets for any serving dishes and insulated place mats. For that matter, have the table refinished in polyurethane - it's a more durable finish than the lacquer that came from the factory
