I have 10" x 1" Vertical channel siding and i'm preping it for painting. Do I need to seal the overlaping joints with caulking? The exisiting siding looks to have some of the seams sealed, but I'd like to know if the correct way of prepping is to caulk every seam. Thanks for any information

No, it has to move (expand and contract with the seasons).
