I pulled them thinking they were weeds and now I'm worried that I pulled something nice for my flower bed. Please help me identify them. They grew to about 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall and the little green balls on the top of the plant had tiny yellow flowers about a week or two ago.

The pics are a little too blurry and up close for me but anything that is volunteer to your beds is usually a weed. The definition of a weed is "anything growing where you don't want it".

Here is the best picture I have taken so far. Hopefully this one will be enough for someone to help me identify this plant.

You definetly have a weed. I don't know the exact name for it, but I believe itis a member of the plantain family. They are spread by birds.
