I have a DSC 1555 and want to add a supervised CO monitor to the system. If possible I would like for it to be monitored 24 hours a day, even when the alarm is not set.

Is this possible to set up?

Yes. Most newer panels have a CO zone type. If yours does not, then it will have to be programmed as a 24 hour auxillary zone and defined as CO alarm at the central station.

Great news.

Is that designation as a 24 hour aux zone something I may program (easily) or should I have a service do that?

Also, any recommedations on a CO detector that would be compatible?

Thanks,

Mark

If you know the installer code, and have a spare hardwired zone, it's pretty easy.

For devices, there are a few models available:
