Electronic Alarms and Home Security Devices - Licensing to sell security products

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here is is anyway...

I am interested in opening a small security store in CT. I would start out by first running the business out of my home and selling online and maybe after a few months open a small store. What type of licensing/permits do I need to just sell home security products and not install them?

I did do some research by searching the CT.gov website but did not find anything pertaining to home security products and sales and then I stumbled upon this great forum.

You will need atleast a business permit and perhaps there are specific licenses for internet store fronts. I would check with your state licensing department.
