I am trying to install a blind inside the frame of the window. My problem is that when i completed the installation, the blind came straight down on the top of the moving window. Of course I could pull it forward, to allow it to reach the bottom of the window, but it does not look perfect. IS there a piece that stores sell that will allow me to still mount to the inside frame of the window but push the mounting brackets towards the room? Did i make that clear?

I'm not quite clear on why you can't mount the brackets further out by themselves? Got any pics, cuz I'm not sure exactly what the problem is.
What kind of blind is it? What kind of brackets are you using?

Sounds like you mounted it in the track that the window rides in rather than on the window stop which is up against the bottom sash. You might have done this because the stop may be very narrow. This a common problem with some windows, Andersen being one. If this is the case you must carefully position the brackets on the stop and drill pilot holes to prevent the screws from splitting the wood.

You may want to consider adding an addition piece of wood stock to your window molding.. Usually in this situation you can add some bulk to the windows trim that you can then install the brackets to. A picture may be able to give you better options if you have a camera. Be aware then when you move these shades out at the width they are now, you will be left with privacy gaps at every angle. Unfortunately these shades should have been wider and longer and installed differently than you are now.. A picture can help us give you your best option.
