I just installed a Chamberlian 1/2hp belt drive opener, the opener seems to works fine, all sensors and switches work.
The question I have is every time I walk in the garage and break the beam the LED gives me a code it blinks 4 times, sometimes 3 times. The sensors are lined up fine the wires are ok, (not reversed or broken, both green and amber lights are lit on the sensors) is this normal. to me the opener is operating the way it should.
Thanks

I can't find any mention of it in the manuals I have. Does it do it with the door closed as well? When the door is moving down do the main lights flash 10X and the door reverses if you break the beam?
And which LED did you mean? The one on the motor unit I presume?
I would assume it to be normal..but I don't have a Chamberlain here to compare it to. You could call Chamberlain Tech support...but I hear the wait can be pretty long.

I plan on calling tomorrow, the door does reverse and the lights on the opener do blip 10X, all seems to be work right, I'm just unsure on the diagnostic LED.
This unit looks to be the same as the sears 1/2 belt drive, Can anybody check to see if the diagnostic LED blinks with the door open as you walk through the beam.
Thanks

Realign the recieving eye sensor, clean lens and secure brackets. Verify door track is firmly secured to wall and does not move.
1 flash- inspect sensor wires for short (staple in wire) correct wiring polarity (black/white wires reversed) , inspect for broken or disconnected wires. Remove sensors from brackets and shorten sensor wires to 1-2' from back of each sensor. Reattach sending eye to motor unit using shortened wires. If sending eye indicator light glows steadily, attach the receiving eye. Align sensors, if the indicator lights glow replace the wires for the sensors. If the sensor indicator lights do not light, replace the safety sensors. I went into the local Rona store today to see how there display model operated, and it was the same as mine, I guess there is no issues. I have a guy coming out tomorrow to look at the door, he is going to check out the opener.
