A few rust stains developed on the bottom of the bathroom sink, I tried to remove them with cleanser but it didn't help.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

There are a variety of products that may help you.I won't list many because 1 there are too many to remember and 2 some are regional or only sold by some companies etc.
Two that come to mind are Zud,a cleanser and Tub and Sink Jelly,a gel made by the Naval Jelly folks but there are others.
Hardware stores sell these products,usually several and have sales people to help you.
