Hi there I have had the module go out on my York 94% funace. The motor in it is a 3 speed high efficiency unit with a module. The module is specific to just this furnace and therefore is expensive and not easily fixed. I did try to do the thermistor repair that happens on a lot of these but that did not work. For now I would like to just install a single speed motor. Can someone help me with selecting the right motor and also let me know what I need to do for electric hook-up to the motor.
The existing fan is a 3/4 hp with 1050 rpm.
Its a ge 5sme39sl 0626
module # dgo2 016384 5
Furnace model is P1UXC16V07501

I believe that motor to be variable rather than three speed. Without seeing the wiring diagram for the furnace, I couldn't tell you how to replace the variable with a standard motor. I realize the module is expensive but the variable speed fan will save you a considerable amount of electric over the years & create a far more comfortable house. I suggest you replace the module & install a surge suppressor for the furnace. Line surges are a common problem with variable speed motors.

How old is the furnace? The motor might still be under warranty.
