Hi,

I have a Sears (Craftsman) 1/2 HP Garage Door Opener that doesn't work at all. The model is either 139.18869 or 139.18880 as per the owner's manual.

There is power to the unit and a green LED is slowly flashing 3 times, stops then repeat (on the motor/controller unit itself).

Could anyone tell me what this pattern refers to and maybe have a list of the different patterns this board could produce c/w their description?

Thanks,
gb

Go here Liftmaster Garage Door Opener Trouble Shooting---Bearcat Company (http://www.bearcatco.com/helpgifs/liftmaster_troubleshooting.html)
Door Control or Multi-Function control Panel wire shorted (http://www.bearcatco.com/helpgifs/liftmaster_troubleshooting.html)

Since you have the owners manual, flip to the back of the English section and it will tell you what the code means. I would guess it indicates a force adjustment or something blocking, or improper alignment, of the door opening sensors

Doorman is right. That code is for a shorted wall control.

Got in too big of a hurry. To prove this you can remove the wall control from the wall and remove the 2 wires from the back. Remember which wire goes where. Now you can short the 2 wires together and your opener should operate. There isn't enough voltage there to hurt you.

I had the time to work on my problem and it is now solved thanks to you guys. The wires were shorted as indicated by Doorman2722. I printed a copy of the codes and will keep it with the manual for future reference.

Thanks again,
