My neighbor and I entered into an agreement where we reattached my irrigation system to a well on his property. We agreed that I would pay him $10 a month for any additional electric used to power the pump for the extra days each month.
My question is how do we get the agreement recorded on our deeds so that the agreement is binding even if one of us sells our homes to another party.
The well was installed by both of the previous owners of our homes and both irrigations systems were originally attatched to the well. My system was disconnected from the well and reattached to city water when the former owner of my home stopped payment.
I have spoke to a few lawyers who want a $400 flat rate to do the contract and record the agreement on our deeds. Is there a way for me to take care of the recording myself with a notarized contractual agreement between me and my neighbor??? If so what do I need to do?
