I have a general electric dishwasher that is about 2 years old at best. After running through the cycle there is still alot of water and the bottom of the machine. It is not leaking out or anything, it is just sitting there. Any help would be most appreciated. thanks

Disconnect the drain hose from where is attaches at the sink or diposal. Run the machine on drain with the hose going into into a 5 gallon bucket. If it drains ok, pulmbing problem. If it does not, look for drain problem in the machine. Some have a separate drain pump, some reverse the mian pump for draining, some have a drain solenoid. Also, there could be a clog in the machine. Can you post the model #?
