Hello
I did not want to post 2 subjects in one thread so: where the wall meets the ceiling in my 35 year old town house there are some separations. Should I try caulk or should I use fiberglass tape and mud or? The cracks were there when we moved in so I don't know how long they have been there but I hope the house has settled by now.
Thank you

Obviously, caulk is the easy way out. Taping and mudding requires obviously more work - trying to blend into surrounding, possible texture matching, more painting - but is more permanent. I caulk such cracks simply because if it does it again, I just caulk-fill it again. It just takes seconds. (And I know how to tape and mud.) It's a priorities thing, with my time.
