i just broke a engine mount on my motorcycle. it is cast aluminum, an the mount forms out from the motor like a ear type mount. the engine is still sealed, no oil leaks. but the break is kind of close to the head. how hot does tig welding get? an would i be able to weld it as is, or would i have to take the whole engine apart?? please any advise would be much appreciated.

If you are not experienced I would look for a weld shop accustomed to welding aluminum castings. In my area there a couple shops that do repair work on boat propellers and outdrives so they are pretty good at welding aluminum castings.
