My Gallery Classic Series Dishwasher (http://www.frigidairecanada.ca/english/product.asp?pid=55)series dishwasher (20 months old), has started to leak along the bottom of the front panel.. therefore I know it is not a gasket etc behind the panel underneath.. I'm presently using towels to absorb the water., and after drying the bottom of the door off and then setting it back to wash, the bottom is again wet.. therefore it looks like the panel must come off and then the seal around the door has to be replaced..
Is this very difficult? is there a link or a web site that can give me step by step instructions to remove and replace this inner door where the soap dispenser and locking latch is attached ?

Thanks

Look closer, it's usually not the door seal. See if maybe the water is running down inside the door. Check the spray arms for cracks, tightness. Can you post the model #? We might be able to find a manual.

that's right... Looks like it may be pretty straight forward.. undo the screws and pull the door plate off and then replace the seal .. ??

Door gaskets generally have a gap in the middle of the bottom. They are not seamless gaskets.

Make sure the door feels like it latches tight. If not, you can sometimes adjust the latch to pull in on the gasket more.

Did you switch brands of detergent? Make sure that when you run the dishwasher, that the water is not more sudsy than it used to be. Sudsy water will jump over that seam in the bottom of the gasket, or otherwise get out the bottom.

Make sure water level is not to high. If it is, you can remove the float switch cover (held in by one screw) and clean the parts of any old caked-on detergent that weighs it down.

Make sure spray arm rotates when it runs. To see, you have to quickly open the dishwasher door while it is running, to see if it is spinning freely. Only do this if your floor will allow it, and be prepared to have some water maybe spray at you and get on the floor, so you have to have something to mop it up right away. On a positive note regarding that, the dishwasher will stop when you open the door, so it is not going to flood the floor. Just one quick burst of water might fly out during part of one revolution, that's all.

Make sure nothing hangs down through the wire basket inside that can stop the travel of the spray arm.

And like I said, if everything pretty much checks out, see if maybe you can get the door to close a hair tighter by trying to adjust the latch.

Of the dishwasher brands I have dealt with, the gasket just pushes into place, without dismantling of the door. Maybe some are different in that regard.
