I have a Sears 110.96273100 dryer. The dryer dries ok, but it doesn't turn off automatically, except in the timed high heat cycle. When it is in the other automatic or low heat settings, the timer doesn't move, and so the dryer does not turn off.
The geared timing motor checks out and runs fine.
I have taken apart the timer and it looks good inside. The contacts are fine. The two contacts that control the timer are working. The timer apparently is connected to one contact in the timed mode, and to another when in the automatic or low heat modes (orange wire, I think). Regardless of what mode the dryer is operating, no voltage ever appears on the automatic/low heat contact.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this dryer, or know what might gate the power to the timer when in automatic / low-heat ? E.g., humidistat, thermostat, other?
Thanks!

Are you absolutely sure that your symptoms include timed dry, low heat? There should be a wiring diagram in the control area.

Look for wiring diagram under consul or if a older dryer taped to back panel. Look at daddy John answer to dryer won't stop drying I think you have the same circuit but harder to find on your dryer.
