I've been scanning the internet for 2 hours looking for prices on vinyl siding. All I find are links to contractors. If you want to install it yourself (found several site that cover that) where can you buy it.

Most suppliers will sell to the public. Trying to buy online for something this bulky wouldn't be cost effective. A box of siding is heavy and bulky, the shipping charges would kill you.

Check around for local building material supply stores that carry what you need. Also, many roofing supply companies carry siding as well. Not a Big Box store..though its a good place to compare pricing. Apples to Apples though..no substitutes. The Box stores get their deliveries for these kind of things from the same local distributors that you could probably go to directly.

They probably don't list pricing since its made from oil, so the prices fluctuate.

I agree with GG, and welcome to the forums! Try and locate a dedicated vinyl siding distributor. They almost always sell directly to the public, and their pricing would be better than that of a big box since one person is cut from the chain. The will also have the auxillary pieces you will need, like light blocks, receptacle blocks, trim, and quite often good advice on how to use their product.
