Hi, I have a problem with my lawn and was wondering if anyone could help with some advice. I have lots of small mounds of earth appearing in my lawn which seemed to be caused by little black and yellow flies. Any ideas what they are and how to get rid of them.I live in Brighton in Eangland. Thanks in advance.

Try a variety of searches and review the pictures to see if you can find a match. Yellow Jackets are common on this side of the pond
UCR EntomologyWasps ID (http://wasps.ucr.edu/waspid.html) but not sure if you are dealing with a wasp or actual fly. You may also find a local university helpful as they would be familiar with local critters.

Good Luck
