My questions is what would cause a A refrigerator to freeze things even on the lowest setting? I noitced last week that the milk seemed to be a lot colder than normal and evetually began to freeze even with the frig on the lowest setting. Also I have a gas stove that just started acting up. The stove top works great but the stove will not come on. The ignitor gets hot but will not allow the stove to come on.

fridge:
lowest setting?- do you mean the warmest setting? The solution depends on what you have for a fridge. For starters, whatever you have, the controls want to be on the mid range settings. Then if your fridge has:
1. just a temp control [called the cold control] you might have a bad control.
2. a damper control for the fresh food section, you might have a malfuctioning damper.
3. electronic control with thermisters, you might have a bad thermister[s].
Can you post the brand and model #? Also, how cold is the freezer side? hint- use a thermometer to check it.
stove- it sounds like you're saying the oven burner won't light even though the ignitor is glowing? Replace the ignitor. Even though it's glowing, ignitors get weak. [98% of the time it's the ignitor; it's possible to have a bad gas valve but rare]
