Hi! I have a Kenmore 80 series that fills up with water and then just keeps on filling until it starts overflowing and I have to stop it. I tried moving the timer so it would agitate and it won't. Then I moved it further to spin and it does spin and drain just fine.
I had a similar problem about six months ago, but it wouldn't even spin and it made a lot of noise. That was the coupler which was replaced.

Any Advice?

Thanks!

what happens if you unplug the washer? same thing?

could be water valve or problem with water level switch/hose.

unplug it while water is coming in and see if it stops in less than 1 second. if so then check the hose where it plugs into water level switch

You guys are awesome! I took both of your advice and unplugged it. The water stopped immediately. So I took the panel apart (after figuring out how) and sure enough, that darn little hose was disconnected from the dial where you select the size of the load. I am now doing a load of laundry and imagine my Hubby's' surprise when he comes home from work and doesn't have to tear the washer apart.

Thanks!

Chrissy

i suggest you remove the hose and trim off the part where it is expanded(about 3/8 of an inch) so it will be tighter and not pop off again

ok, I'll do that. Thank you!
