hello, I have a ceiling fan/ light combo and it is powered by a single wall switch. the 3 speed switch for fan broke in the off position. is there any way to wire it so that the fan turns on when i flip the switch?

Replace the switch.They are cheap at Big Box and generally you don't have to drop the fan. Just remove the light kit. Any wiring to bypass the switch would be as complicated as replacing it.
