Just had an excavation project completed yesterday and they put down the top soil, seeded, then tossed hay on top. I watered when they left. I watered this morning. Then at 10pm tonight the skies opened and for the past 2 hours had moderate to sometimes torrential

Rear of house is mostly flat but front of house has moderate slope. So did i lose all my new grass? (at least i dont have to water tomorrow lol)

The only way to know is to see what it looks like in daylight.Look for erosion and areas of accumulated soil.

It's a fair bet there was damage that needs to be repaired but it may be spotty not the whole area.

hmmm maybe i'm not watering it as well as i should be. At both my front and rear faucets the hoses dont fit on tight so as i water the lawn, some water is squirting out there the entire time. Right under both leaking faucets i have a lot more grass than anywhere else.

But i do see some coming up now in most of the yard that was seeded. Just not as much as under the faucets. Very interesting.
