My backyard(sod) is starting to show some brown(dead) patches in one area. I have been following the Scotts program and things were going well. Here in the Northeast, we have been pounded by rain to the point where my lawn is still extremely saturauted. Any advice? THANKS!

It is possible you have a condition called brown spot which is a fungus. You would use lawn fungicide to treat it.Without seeing it etc it's hard to know exactly but with the excessive wetness it sounds likely.
Suggest you go to the place you buy your lawn supplies especially if it is a Scott's Lawn Pro dealer, which if you are using the 4 step program then it is,and talk to them.If you can take pictures it would help here and with the dealer.
Scott's has a lawn fungicide product that is one of several specialty products that is an offshoot of the 4 step program. You can also use liquid fungicides (the Scott's is granular) such as one in the Ortho product line,a Scott's division.
