After a recent shortage of rain in Florida, the well that our sprinkler system runs from dried up. My sprinkler pump will still run, but I wanted to know how to prime it to start pumping and pressurizing a supply of water now the well is full again. The pump is a Magnatek, there is a larger sized hose attachment in the top pipe, but as soon as water is added, it leaks straight out of the bottom....
Is this just dried up gaskets, or am I doing something wrong, or do I need a new pump...?
Thank you
Nick

This one is beyond me. Unless someone with experience with Magnatek pops in here your best bet is to call your local Magnatek dealer. They should be able to talk you through it if it is something you can do yourself. If a service call is required they will know who you need to contact for assistance in your area.
