Hello, I would like to make some window treatments like this picture. I really dont know where or how to start. :wall: Can someone please tell me how to mount the cornice once I figure out how to build it and drape it. I also need to know how the curtain panel underneath is hung? I am not sure how it all hangs up there and the type of hardware I am suppossed to use for the cornice. Thank you sooo much for any help!!!

Hi Vampeera and welcome to the forum!
The pic is a bit on the blurry side, but from what I can make of it, they look sort of like mock cornices or flat valances, rather than hard cornices. You could just use some sort of stiffener, like a heavy interfacing, which would be a lot easier than making a true cornice. They have a return on both ends and trim on the bottom. Just staple them to a 1 x 4 (covered with the fabric or lining), which is attached to the wall using L brackets.
For the panels, you could either use some small rods on brackets with a small projection or mount a 1 x 2 under the soft cornice and just staple the panels on it, or you could even use some screw eyes put under the 1 x 4, then hang the panels right in the screw eyes using drapery pins.
Only thing, I would make the top part hug the panels rather than extend out on each side like in the pic. Something doesn't look quite right about that, like the panels are too small or the cornice is too big.
