That is probably the wrong way to spell Ireis but I hope you understand what I mean. I have alot of big purple Ireis that seem to grow good and flower alot . Last year I used long needle pine needles as multch around the plants and it seems as maybe it is to strong of acid as they don't look as good as they used to. I think they like acid don't they or are the needles to strong? Maybe it is just the end of the season for them. Can anyone tell me if the needles are to strong for the Ireis and also Holley bushes. Thanks John
