I have a stand like this one here...

But I now need to put some finishing on it. How can I do this? I was thinking of getting wood and cutting it all to one length and adding them in the up and down direction side by side?
What about the corners and at the top? how can I finish it off?

What will you be using the stand for? If it will be holding a heavy weight, I would opt for 6" wide beadboard tongue and groove, vertically. The top, maybe in 3/4" cabinet grade oak plywood, banded with oak 1x3's, then stained. We'll wait for answers before getting too deep.

Your options will depend somewhat upon the tools and skills you have. Also, what are your color/wood preferences. Will you want any cabinet doors/drawers? Will it need a wider base for stability? Any wiring channels from the bottom up to the top. Open back or closed all the way around?

Sorry, will hold a tank, not fill of water but till heavy. About 130mm x 64mm x 61mm
Skills are basic, no need for doors etc just need to make it look nice :-)
Not sure on the type of wood yet something dark and solid maybe.
Tools, I can get my hands on most basic handy man stuff, nothing advanced though.
