My garage door will close once the wall opener is held. If it is let go it will retract. I checked the connections on the back of the sensors and found one broke. I replaced the sensors, the green light is on yet it keeps doing the same thing. I have also tried to place something in the line of sight to see if the red light would respond and it does not. I did not need to add any additional wire so it is coming from the same as before. Trying to work on this for 2 days and am almost ready to start using the front door. Very frustrating. Hope anyone can help.

Reset the breaker.

Both lights should be on steady with nothing blocking the sensors. When something blocks the units one goes out, immediately, no delay. I have seen units that the transmitter does not emit fully, LED dim. But you replaced the units so that should not be an issue. Recheck all wiring for poor connections, breaks etc.
What he said. Pull the power for about 30 seconds, then retry.

The wires to the door sensors are color coded. Make sure you hooked them up right.
