Does anybody know how to reset bypass areas for Napcos 1000e. The power in the area was shut down for a few hours. When I got home a lound beeping sound was going off. I hit a few buttons just to get it the sound off. Now the only door that beeps when I open it is the back sliding glass door. It use to beep when all doors opened or windows. The system was already in the home when I purchased it. I dont pay for a monthly service and really dont want to. I just want it back to normal. Ive never armed the home when I left. I just want the doors to chime or windows if they are opened. Please help if anyone knows.
Thanks

It sounds like the chime feature is simply turned off. With most napco panels of this vintage, you press and hold the 5 key to turn the door chimes on and off.
Not knowing which keypad model you have, go here for a user manual: Downloadable PDFs of Napco User Manuals (http://www.napcosecurity.com/support_homeowners.html)

thanks for the help. I tried pressing the 5 down. It does turn off the back door chime. Then if I press it again the chime goes back on. It only works for the back sliding door. It use to beep if any window or door was opened. All the areas in the home are on bypass now. Is there a way for me take the areas (1-2-3-4-5-6) off of bypass? I think this may be why its not beeping any longer. Thanks for the link for the owners manual. I have one at home but it reads more for an alarm tech to set up.

If you have a user code to arm/disarm system, simply arm it then disarm. This will clear all bypassed zones.

Also, have you checked to see if these zones are opening at all? Sometimes after a major storm, alarm contacts can fail in the stuck closed position.
