I am building a concrete block and metal fence courtyard wall. I plan to veneer the columns with the Eldorado stone veneer and I'm not sure whether to attach my metal gate and fences to the stone veneer or directly to the concrete block and veneer the product around them. I plan on using Machine screw anchors or
double expansion anchors to attach the fence and gate posts. Any expert advice will be greatly appreciated.

Attach the hinge and latch hardware to the concrete blocks. Further, fill the blocks with concrete and make sure that whatever you use for anchors gets into the concrete fill.
Leave the hinge and latch hardware project out far enough from the blocks so that the veneer of stone doesn't interfer with it.

Great tips. I will now make the metal fence topper and gate a few inches off center so they can be secured into the concrete filled cells. I'm still looking for the right hardware to secure the items. Thanks,
