Welcome to the forums! Most likely you will have to replace the pull chain switch inside the light cover. Turn off the power to the fan at the circuit breaker panel. Remove the light fixture from the fan using the 3 small screws around its base and either unplug it or remove the b-caps from the wires. Set it aside. Up in the bell you will see your switch. Remove the nut from the outside of the bell holding in the switch and pull the switch in and down. NOW, very important.....take a digital picture of the wiring, or draw it off with the colors, etc on paper. Pictures don't lie. If the switch is capped to other wires, remove the caps and remove the switch. If it is wired and not capped, you will need to cut the wires. Place a piece of masking or painter's tape around each wire. You will be cutting across the tape, so mark each end of the tape with a 1,2,3, etc. That way you can match them back up when you get your new switch. Cut the wires and take the switch to your electrical supply house or big box store and get an EXACT duplicate. Installation is the reverse of removal, only a little harder.
