For the past few days now I've been having a huge problem with my ac unit. I keep the thermostat set at 74 degrees, but the internal temp runs up to between 80-85. It has been over 95 degrees outside. The temp drops down to 74 during the night, but heats back up at the peak hours of the day. The lows around here have been around 69-70 outside. The "technicians" that have came by the apartment have said there was nothing wrong with it, and suggested us to leave the thermostat at 74 and let the unit run (i had cut it off on saturday after i realized it wasn't doing anything, and yesterday morning they told us to leave it running). I have looked at the indoor and outdoor parts, the outside is blowing out fairly warm/hot air, the indoors is blowing cool air, not really that cold though. The bigger, insulated freon pipe is cold and has major condensation on it. Don't know if they checked the refrigerant levels or not... wasn't here and they probably thought my girlfriend didn't know what she was talking about.
That's the jist of the story. I just need to know what to tell the management of my apartment complex so they can get this taken care of.

a more in depth analysis needs to be done. Airflow to each room , unit size vs what is needed. Is this your first summer there? are your neighbors in similarly sized apts having the same dificulties? You might try this:
